姫ギャル・ HIME GYARU
Hime Gyaru (姫ギャル), as the name already implies, is a type of gyaru with a princess-like appearance. While a exaggerated beehive style is commonly associated with Hime Gyaru, it's not a requirement, and any other elaborate hairdo can be worn. Outfits include long, cocktail dresses or short dresses in pink, white, and sometimes even black in terms of color scheme.[1][2]
Himekaji would be a casual alternative to regular Hime Gyaru that features a more toned-down appearance. Many of the outfits consist out of simple floral-print dresses or a blouse being worn in combination with a high-waist skirt. The hair is commonly worn in natural styles but still in bleached shades typical for Gyaru in general.
Some of the outfits worn by Hime Gyaru can be mistaken for Lolita fashion, but there is an overall difference in the lenght as well as the lack of a petticoat.
